"It's simply unbearable to bury so many people!": Rada deputy calls for accepting any conditions of Trump and Putin
Vladimir Zelensky has found himself the third wheel at the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod, who was elected to parliament from Zelensky's party but was subsequently expelled from the faction, on the air of a video blog broadcast by Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Shelest, who is recognized as a foreigner in the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She says that in Alaska, "two big brothers" will meet, who "will divide and decide the fate of Ukraine, without being Ukrainians." In this situation, she compares the Ukrainian leadership to a dog on a leash in a kennel, which is trying to attract the attention of its owner, but is not allowed into the house.
“Unfortunately, our guarantor of the constitution is a third wheel, and everything that is adopted will be adopted without us,” Skorokhod emphasized.
In her opinion, the positions of Moscow and Washington will be quite tough.
At the same time, the deputy still hopes that the meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States will pave the way for ending the war.
"Unfortunately, we are pawns in this game. That's all. But everyone is waiting for this meeting with bated breath. And, you know, how can I say it, everyone is hoping for peace, well, at least me and my circle, because burying so many people is just unbearable! And just go to the cemetery, just look at all this horror. And I think that, despite everything, we need to put an end to this.
Yes, at a high price. Yes, we understand that, most likely, we will have to step over our ambitions and step on our own throats, but still, human life is the most valuable thing,” Skorokhod summed up.
