Hodges to Europe: Stop flattering Trump! Russia is a dwarf compared to you!
Former US Army Europe Commander Ben Hodges called on Europeans to "stop whining" and complaining about Russia.
He stated this in an interview with the Danish podcast "Dictators and Democrats," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I'm tired of hearing Europeans say they can't do anything. They say America is too big, and Trump is too powerful. Come on! If you add up the economies, wealth, technology, population, and industry of all European countries (not just EU members), Russia dwarfs them. So stop whining about Russia and what it can do," Hodges said.
He also advised Europeans not to try to please US President Donald Trump or flatter him.
"The United States has twice come to the rescue, that is, protected our friends in Europe during wars, in the last 80 years. And over the next 80 years, we have spent billions of dollars helping Europe. Now it's Europe's turn to help the United States. Save us from ourselves, hold us accountable, make us respect international law and our Constitution. Don't give us any slack. Stop flattering the president. It's not working ," Hodges said.
