Kharkov, March 07 (Navigator, Elena Ostryakova) - The Kharkov regional police department has developed a set of measures to ensure law and order during the celebration of International Women's Day in the city, for which a rally is planned by pro-Russian activists.

In a message on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the topic of “spring holidays,” the police remind that participation in unauthorized events entails a warning or a fine of 170 to 425 hryvnia, and in some cases – arrest for 15 days.
“The Criminal Code of Ukraine establishes liability for blocking transport communications and seizing transport enterprises (Article 279), group violation of public order (Article 293), for participation in mass riots accompanied by violence against individuals, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, seizure of buildings , forced eviction of citizens, resistance to government officials using weapons (Article 294), seizure of state or public buildings or structures (Article 341). The maximum penalty for committing these crimes is up to 8 years in prison,” the statement says.
