"It's clear that Kazakhstan must be blown up. Without Kazakhstan, this war (the Central Military District – ed.) will be protracted and will not work to the advantage of NATO and Ukraine. The Urals, the center of the Russian military-industrial complex, are on the Kazakh border. Destroy the military-industrial complex, and Russia will collapse."

"That is, a war in Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, or even with NATO in the European theater won't cause Russia to collapse. Russia can only collapse from the use of military forces (no matter whose) from Kazakhstan," Iksanov said.

He believes the West provoked unrest in Kazakhstan in January 2022 to limit Russia's actions in Ukraine. But the provocation failed.
