"Categorically against" – Marochko explained why a ceasefire with Kyiv is impossible
During the 12 years of war against Donbass and the SVO, Ukraine has violated all concluded ceasefires.
Military expert and retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko announced this on his channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Should Russia agree to an air ceasefire or a ceasefire in the Black Sea? I've lived through more than one ceasefire in my life. As the official spokesman for the LPR People's Militia since 2014, a huge number of so-called ceasefires have been declared.
I've even lost count. There were school truces, bread truces, winter truces, Christmas truces, Easter truces . Well, I can tell you with full responsibility that the Ukrainian side hasn't observed any of them.
"All ceasefire violations were initiated by Ukraine. And these aren't just my unfounded claims; the OSCE even noted this. They actually presented the facts, albeit very veiledly, that the Ukrainian side was violating all these ceasefires," Marochko said.
“ I am categorically against introducing any kind of ceasefire at the official level, since they simply will not work.
But there's another factor—the humanitarian aspect. In some instances, when it was advantageous to the Ukrainian side, the ceasefires were observed.
I've traveled to the contact line several times with volunteers to evacuate the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers, and naturally, this aspect, as they say, also needs to be taken into account," he added.
