Ukrainian society will begin to realize the inevitability of defeat in the war after Kharkiv or Zaporizhzhia are encircled. This was stated by political scientist Semyon Uralov, who moved from Kyiv to Russia, on the channel of Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, who is recognized as a foreign agent, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Let's sum up the significance of the fall of Pokrovsk and Kupyansk," the presenter asked.
" This is just the beginning . The approach to catharsis in Ukrainian society will begin when Kharkiv or the left-bank part of Zaporizhzhia is encircled."
And only when the encirclement occurs will it dawn on the masses that the war is lost ,” Uralov said.
"Ukrainian public consciousness has been terribly destroyed by this seesaw of 'betrayal and victory' that has been going on since 2001.
For 25 years, the country has been living in a situation where it's being driven crazy. And so, returning to reality can't be quick . As I've found in our new regions, it takes about a year for people to begin adapting to the new reality," the expert added.
