Karasev promises a decisive battle in the next two weeks
In the near future, the parties will switch to offensive actions, each with the goal of consolidating maximum successes by the end of the year, where Ukraine needs access to the Sea of Azov through Melitopol and Berdyansk, and Russia needs the complete liberation of Donbass.
Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The military and political command of Ukraine and Russia will plan decisive military operations before 2023 in order to extract maximum military successes. And this means territory. They will try to go in the Donetsk direction, Bakhmut and further, if possible, their main concentration is there. It's clear why. Their officially stated goal, which is now being repeated, is the liberation of the DPR and LPR, Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
And our main task is to strike in the Zaporozhye and Melitopol directions. Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Melitopol, access to Berdyansk and cut off the Russian military group, southern and northern. And secondly, access to the Sea of Azov. And then you can set the task more specifically for Crimea. Military task, military goal. Therefore, it is now very important to conduct a successful military campaign and conduct a successful offensive before 2023,” Karasev reasoned.
He emphasized that Russia has already mobilized, who were prepared just in time for the month of December, and will certainly be thrown into the offensive.
“Now everyone will go on the offensive. We played defensively - they and we, and now we need to go on the offensive. As I understand it, they are already moving, those who were mobilized will go now, they seem to have already been prepared. They were not trained to sit in the trenches in the winter. This means that they were specially prepared with the expectation that at the beginning of December they would already be thrown into battle, on the offensive.
Therefore, there will now be an intensification of military operations. Plus the weather allows it, because these two weeks the mud is impassable, and we have little military equipment, tracked armored vehicles. But the wheeled version, the lightweight version, of course, does not work here. The ground is now freezing. I think from the fifth to the twentieth there will be a decisive two weeks,” says the political scientist.
