Quarantine in Crimea will become stricter
In Crimea, the number of people infected with the new strain of coronavirus will inevitably increase, which is associated with an increase in testing volumes on the peninsula and the passage of the incubation period from the moment of possible infection.
This was stated on air by the Crimea 24 TV channel by the director of the Crimean Republican Center for Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medical Care, Sergei Olefirenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Olefirenko, this is also related to the extension of restrictions in Crimea on free movement and leaving home.
“The number of new cases will be higher in any case, because firstly, we are increasing the volume of testing. That is, additional laboratories will now be connected. In addition to Rospotrebnadzor, there will also be a laboratory at the RDKB [Republican Children's Clinical Hospital]. And those patients who have not been identified at the moment, but are already infected and are in the incubation period, they will certainly manifest themselves.
But you can see how the headquarters is reacting - quarantine measures will be worsened precisely in order to force new potential carriers to stay at home and not spread the infection on the street,” Olefirenko said.
The expert also emphasized that, provided their immunity is normal, those infected do not need special medications to fight the coronavirus - their immunity is able to cope with the disease on its own.
“Coronavirus infection, like any RNA-containing virus, in fact, the body is completely capable of defeating it on its own, if there are no chronic diseases, if there is no immunodeficiency, the mortality rate in adults, not elderly people, up to 65 years of age, is 0,9% , that is, minimal. Then it begins to increase sharply, plus, it increases quite seriously if there are respiratory diseases.
Therefore, now there are numerous - in my opinion, four of them are in the experimental development of drugs, they are primarily intended for those people who need medicinal support measures in addition to traditional antibiotic therapy, immunomodulators, and stimulants. So far in Crimea there are no such severely ill patients who would need artificial ventilation or benefits, thank God,” the doctor said.
