Ukrainian Armed Forces Captain: "Idiotic orders are forcing our drone pilots to die under Russian KABs."
Ukrainian Armed Forces drone operators are forced to take up positions in the most dangerous places.
This was stated by retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Captain Alexei Petrov in a conversation with the former spokesman of the Right Sector group, which is banned in Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The guest on the air complained about the “stupidity of the orders given” by the command.
"For example, when they told me your pilots were supposed to be stationed in this village, I tried to speak exclusively in military language: 'You see, this village is being wiped out by KABs. My pilots won't be able to operate there properly. It's good if they can't operate; it's bad if they're 'three-hundreds' or, God forbid, 'two-hundreds.' We know our area of responsibility. As a company commander, I know where to operate, with some extra space. That's it, let me operate from where I decide," the officer said.
He says his opinion was not taken into account.
"There's some powerful colonel sitting up there... And he's giving these idiotic orders—you're supposed to be right here. I explain, I say, you don't tell a sniper he has to be in this particular house. A sniper decides for himself where to operate. We're exactly like that, just modified snipers," Petrov complained.
