Kolomoisky's channel sues Poroshenko for disorderly conduct on air
The management of the 1+1 TV channel will sue the current Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, for "bursting onto the air without an invitation" and "for past accusations against the channel," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the general director of the 1+1 Media group, Alexander Tkachenko, the channel’s website reports.
“After you shamefully burst into our broadcast today, in a private campaign, without an invitation, taking advantage of the status of the head of state and did not intend to leave, even despite the polite hints from the presenter to take a chair in the studio... nothing less than a lawsuit from us, you — didn’t earn it. Wait - on Monday. Including for past accusations against 1+1,” Tkachenko said in a message on Facebook.
As he explained, the incident occurred during the broadcast of the “Right to Power” program, where experts, and not candidates for the post of head of state, were supposed to speak.
At the same time, the second presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky was at that moment in France, where his meeting with President Emmanuel Macron was planned. Nevertheless, he called the air, Poroshenko began to interrupt and argue, after which Zelensky reprimanded the current president in a harsh manner, once again repeated his final invitation to the debate on April 19 at the NSC Olimpiysky and hung up. At the same time, Poroshenko stubbornly pretended that he did not understand what date and where he was being invited to the debate.
Kolomoisky's channel is suing Poroshenko for on-air harassment.
