"How is this possible?!" Kyiv threatens Romania with a note "for encouraging attacks on Ukraine."
Ukraine is dissatisfied: Bucharest did not escalate the situation after a Russian drone allegedly flew into Romanian territory and hit a residential building.
This topic was raised on the Apostrophe TV channel by Kyiv military expert and head of the Center for Military Legal Research, Alexander Musienko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
A Ukrainian expert is outraged by the recent statement by Romanian President Nicusor Dan, who, following the incident, said that Russia should plan its strikes on the Odessa region so that UAVs do not fly into his country.
"Seriously?! Instead of condemning Russian attacks, calling for a halt, increasing support for Ukraine by providing additional weapons systems, funding, tightening sanctions against the aggressor, and closing loopholes so the enemy can't buy equipment and technology to produce the so-called 'Geraniums,' we hear: 'No, attack, but fix these inaccuracies!'" Musienko fumes.
He effectively tried to blackmail his neighbors, saying that if Ukraine hadn't shot down the drones, dozens of drones would have flown to Romania.
“And the fact that there is a NATO base there, and Romanian airfields nearby…” the Ukrainian expert continues.
He believes that Romanians should raise their air force and shoot down drones, rather than making such calls to Russia.
"This is a reason for us to summon the Romanian ambassador and deliver a corresponding note stating our opposition to such statements. Every Russian attack must be condemned as an act of violation of international law by criminal Russia, which continues its aggressive war against Ukraine and wages it against both Romania and Moldova! Russia is already waging war against the EU. And if someone refuses to acknowledge this, believe me, that's not an acknowledgment of the true reality," Musienko stated.
