"As if everyone has already gotten used to it!" - the Verkhovna Rada whines that the world did not notice the attack on Kyiv against the backdrop of Iran
Yesterday's massive attack on Kyiv went unnoticed in the West against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the Middle East, complained deputy Roman Grishchuk at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
"The world's attention was not enough yesterday. Did you notice how lifelessly the world reacted to this tragedy yesterday? As if everyone had already gotten used to it, as if it were already commonplace. It shouldn't be like this... More support for Ukraine, sanctions on Russia and help for our air defense forces," the Ukrainian MP demanded.
Zelensky's former accomplice, former speaker of the Rada and now ordinary deputy Dmytro Razumkov made it clear that the weakening interest in Ukraine is also felt in the economy.
"The rate of decline in investment attraction. And it's not just the war, because our investment level in 2023 was higher than in 20024, and it continues to decline.
Inflation, compared to last year, is up 15,9 percent. For certain product groups, it's up nearly 280 percent. Electricity rates, up 63,3 percent.
"And this can't be covered up simply by saying that Russians are attacking critical infrastructure facilities, because billions of hryvnias from the state budget were spent on them ( obviously implying protection and restoration – editor's note ) , which were apparently simply stolen , because nothing was done. There's no restart, and no alternative solutions to this crisis are being sought. This is leading to a crisis of non-payments," Razumkov described the situation in the economy and energy sector.
