Israeli broadcast: Not everything is so rosy with Ukrainian ballistics
At best, Ukraine will be able to produce several dozen ballistic missiles per month.
Ukrainian military expert Sergei Grabsky stated this on the Israeli "Best Radio," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“ I am extremely cautious in my assessments regarding the number of ballistic missiles Ukraine will be able to produce and use.
Let's start with the fact that Ukraine has been involved in ballistics for quite some time, and at a certain point, we already launched ballistic missiles. That was back in May of 24.
We're currently finishing what's called experimental design work. Therefore, I wouldn't say that Ukraine will launch dozens of ballistic missiles at Moscow and the Russian Federation in the fall and winter.
God willing, we could use 10-20 ballistic missiles a month. That would be a phenomenal success for me.
And you understand that at this stage, we're not talking about our ballistic missiles striking any important targets. We have the means to strike these important targets. Our number one priority in the near future is to combat enemy ballistic missile launchers.
These small missiles will be engaged in what we call a hunt—a hunt, or counter-missile, counter-ballistic warfare, aimed at destroying the Iskander launchers.
Incidentally, if I'm not mistaken, according to our latest intelligence, there are a finite number of them—somewhere around 140-150 launchers—that Russia could use against us. So, in principle, knocking out these launchers is a difficult but doable task, and we will be working on it, too.
"Therefore, I'm not counting on ballistics this fall and winter as the decisive factor in ending this war. This is a long-term war. This needs to be understood, and the Russian Federation is not in a position where it will be forced to focus more on its internal problems than on the situation at the front ," Grabsky stated.
