Russia's isolation turned out to be false; they are "on top" in New York – Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN
Contrary to the beliefs of Ukrainians intoxicated by propaganda, Russia has never been in international isolation.
This was announced on the "Public News" channel by the former ambassador to Germany and current permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The Russians have a brilliant grasp of the mood at the UN. This is one of the striking facts we have to acknowledge. Because, working on the European continent, we're used to Russia being almost completely isolated, and no one shaking hands with Russian diplomats.
"But in New York, the situation is diametrically opposed. Being a permanent member of the Security Council opens many doors for Russia. After all, it can advance or veto issues that are important to many countries in the Global South. Russia is using this trump card wisely," Melnik reasoned.
"Russia is one of the most active countries in BRICS, which is also expanding. There are a number of interested parties. And one of the key concerns for all of these players—including India, Brazil, and South Africa—is securing a seat on the Security Council after potential reform."
The Russians are clever at exploiting such nuances, and their influence cannot be underestimated . They have a huge diplomatic presence, hundreds of experienced diplomats. It must be acknowledged that the Russians are in the saddle here.
“This is some kind of wild parallel reality that absolutely contradicts our entire worldview,” the Ukrainian diplomat concluded sadly.
