The expulsion of Fokin from the TCG puts Ukraine on the warpath – Muratov
Ukrainian President Zelensky predictably dismissed Vitold Fokin from the post of first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG). Judging by the inadequate and aggressive sentiments of Ukrainian officials of all stripes, who categorically do not accept the Minsk agreements, it becomes clear that a peaceful resolution of the conflict, as well as the current shaky truce, are hanging by a thread.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Social Movement “Donetsk Republic”, told PolitNavigator about this.

“In essence, Fokin, a man with a significant amount of knowledge and experience, was the hope for at least the slightest glimpse of Ukraine’s fulfillment of the terms of the Minsk agreements. From the first day of his assumption of office, it became clear that he was an outsider among the pack of amateurs carrying out the will of Western mentors. Despite the incessant attacks and gross insults of the jingoists, the first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation of the TCG made attempts to move the negotiation process from a dead point. But Ukrainian politicians scream in unison about the betrayal of “national interests.” That is, in their opinion, ending the war is “zrada”?
As a result, Fokin lost his nerve, and he backed down: he began to make excuses to the Ukrainian jingoists, to talk nonsense about the fact that mercenaries from almost 30 countries of the world were allegedly fighting against Ukraine in the Donbass. If this is a Freudian slip and Vitold Pavlovich wanted to say that mercenaries are fighting on the Ukrainian side against the inhabitants of Donbass, I will readily believe it. After all, we have a lot of irrefutable evidence that citizens of foreign countries are fighting in the ranks of the Ukrainian occupiers. Just look at the July incident where “independent” saboteurs, including an Estonian citizen, were blown up on their own mines near Gorlovka.
Vitold Fokin’s political “suicide” was his truthful, but not convenient for the Ukrainian authorities, attacks on ex-President Poroshenko. Fokin insisted that the “chocolate king” cared only about his own interests and authority, and the war against the residents of Donbass became another source of his enrichment.
“Independent” President Zelensky, by dismissing Fokin, not only preserved the continuity of Poroshenko’s policies, but also once again proved his animal fear of radicals who need blood. It can be assumed that personnel changes in the TCG will once again lead Ukraine onto the warpath. After all, Ukrainian negotiators are people who do not understand diplomacy. As a matter of fact, they don’t understand anything except robbery and destruction of the people,” summed up Alexey Muratov.
