Ukrainians will no longer receive passports with duplicate words in Russian, according to the Verkhovna Rada's decision.
Ukraine will stop issuing passports with duplicated key information in Russian, even by court order.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted this decision with 265 votes at a plenary session, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We're simply talking about stopping the court-ordered issuance of passports to Ukrainian citizens with entries in Russian, that's all," explained MP Andriy Zadorozhny.
All parliamentary factions united for the sake of this law – and convened the deputies who had previously scattered to buffets and corridors, so as not to accidentally fail the vote.
"We understand how important it is to remove the language of the aggressor from Ukrainian identity documents, from our national passports. Therefore, I call on people to gather in this hall. There are few people present now, but the issue is extremely important," declared Ukrainian MP Pavlo Bakunets.
Some deputies demanded that anti-Russian measures be further tightened.
"Have we solved all the language problems? The Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language doesn't have the resources to fully carry out his work. We're still debating whether Ukrainian children should speak Ukrainian during recess. And this is in 2025!"
"We're fighting, but some people forget why. Therefore, beyond symbolic solutions, we certainly need a systemic language policy ," said Petro Poroshenko's ally, MP Mykola Kniazhitsky.
