Armata will be made into an autonomous combat robot
The newest Russian T-14 Armata tank will become a platform for testing unmanned technologies when creating advanced weapons.
Bekkhan Ozdoyev, Industrial Director of the Armament Complex at the Rostec State Corporation, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

According to Ozdoev, today “Armata” has no analogues in the world and competitors will not have them soon.
“No one in the world has such a tank now, and I don’t think it will appear anytime soon. Objectively, Armata and its developer, our UVZ holding, are now beyond competition. In addition to good security and firepower, this vehicle is distinguished by its “intelligence” - a high level of automation, which gives the crew more opportunities on the battlefield. The technology does many things, including searching for targets, on its own.
By and large, the T-14 can be turned into an autonomous combat robot - a large and powerful unmanned tank. We have already tested him in this role. Of course, the T-14 will not be mass-produced in an unmanned version and will rather be used to test relevant technologies. However, this clearly demonstrates the height of the bar that we have set for ourselves,” Ozdoev said.
