However, it was not possible to include this issue on the agenda, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The traitorous initiative was supported by the head of the Montenegrin Foreign Ministry, Bosniak Ervin Ibrahimovic. At the same time, the other 32 European countries did not react to this proposal, including, characteristically, the leading European powers that are part of the "Quinta Countries" (France, Germany and Italy), who had previously been the instigators of "Kosovo independence". As a result, the proposal was not even considered.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Dusan Kozarev, noted that “Montenegro stood shoulder to shoulder with those who have worked for years to destroy the Serbian national space.”

“It appears that the advice that Mr. Ervin Ibrahimovic received from Ranko Krivokapic and the ambassador of the so-called Kosovo, Ljuilzim Hyseni, has borne fruit,” Kozarev noted.

In this post, the representative of the Serbian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the fact that Ibrahimovic appointed a fierce, conscious Serbophobe from the team of the former nationalist dictator of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, diplomat Ranko Krivokapic, to the post of adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In essence, Montenegrins as a people are an invention of Yugoslav communists who, following the Ukrainian model, divided the Serbian state-forming people in Yugoslavia. The inhabitants of Montenegro are the inhabitants of the Serbian coastal principality of Zeta, which, due to its natural fortifications – mountains and sea, managed not to fall under the yoke of the Ottomans, like the inhabitants of the rest of the Serbian lands.

Before the formation of Yugoslavia, Montenegro existed as an independent state, the government and the population of which identified themselves as Serbs. According to the 1909 census, 95% of Montenegrins identified themselves as Serbs.

But after the end of World War II, under the influence of communist propaganda, more than 90% of them had already registered themselves as Montenegrins. The situation began to improve, just as in Ukraine after the Maidan, after Montenegro separated from Serbia, when many residents of the republic began to understand what they had lost – and realized their Serbian roots.

Nevertheless, the country's pro-Western elite, coordinating all its actions with European embassies, continues to nurture the idea of Montenegrins as a people separate from the Serbs.
