Islamists took hostages in Rostov. A new dangerous caste of “greens” has appeared in prisons
The emergency involving the taking of hostages in pre-trial detention center No. 1, located in the very center of Rostov-on-Don, lasted for about three hours. Islamists who were under arrest - supporters of the terrorist organization ISIS, banned in the Russian Federation, captured two guards. The terrorist attack took place on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. The special forces soon began an assault, shots were heard - it was reported that the criminals were eliminated and the pre-trial detention center employees were released.
In places of detention, a caste of “greens” has long been formed, spreading a criminal anti-Russian ideology, Sergei Rulev, a blogger and reporter working in Rostov, told PolitNavigator, who himself had the opportunity to spend 6 months in a pre-trial detention center last year after a conflict with a local Navalnist prosecutor.

“SIZO-1 is the oldest in Rostov, located in the very center of the city. Prisoners were always afraid to get here, as they had heard a lot about medieval conditions of detention: overcrowded cells of 90 people each with three-tiered beds, heat up to 40 degrees. Of course, the “roof” could simply be blown off here.
Pre-trial detention center No. 1 contains the most dangerous criminals, these are especially serious crimes.
In traditional prisons there are four “suits” – thieves, men, goats and the offended. But recently, another caste of “greens” has appeared - the Islamists. They always stick together. They observe their religious rituals. The rest of the prison “suits” and “concepts” are not recognized, but live by their own rules.
The backbone of the “greens” are Islamists - members of banned extremist and terrorist organizations. People from Muslim countries, for example, who were caught transporting drugs, are grouped around them. Lots of Afghans, etc.
The conclusion from today's history is this: separate prisons must be created for Wahhabis/Islamists. Because they are politically motivated and spread their anti-Russian ideas behind bars.
Well, we need a reform of the penitentiary system - to ensure human conditions of detention, and also to eliminate the situation where through corrupt guards in the system you can always get any prohibited items,” Rulev said.
