Ukraine, exhausted of resources, is preparing a "final push" for the fall – British analyst
Ukraine's "final push" to weaken Russia will be a large-scale, combined-arms attack on Moscow, which could involve not only drones but also ballistic missiles.
British analyst Alexander Merkuris stated this on his channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The Ukrainians are supposedly developing a new ballistic missile, which is supposedly capable of reaching Moscow itself. It's expected to enter service in October. It's similar to the Russian Iskander-M missile.
It's possible this is a ballistic missile that could actually reach Moscow . But then again, I have no doubt that Russia's S-400 and S-500 air defense systems would be able to successfully defend Moscow from it.
But one can imagine a combined drone attack aimed at disabling Moscow airports and a ballistic missile aimed at Moscow itself, which could be launched in the near future, sometime in the fall,” he said.
"In my opinion, this will be Ukraine's last major push. I think that in all other respects, Ukraine has already exhausted its resources. I don't think it has a large number of reservists or people who can be called upon..."
"We will witness a renewed, sustained attack on Moscow, on the airports, on the city itself, this time using ballistic missiles . I think the Russians are well aware that all of this is coming. I think they are preparing for it… I think the attack will fail ," Merkouris stated.
