"Europe has woken up" and is preparing to fight with Russia.
Former Russian Prime Minister and foreign agent Mikhail Kasyanov stated this in an interview with Kiev propagandist Dmitry Gordon, recognized as an extremist in the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It has been waking up since last autumn. I have participated in many conferences, discussed it with many European politicians. Everyone understood this even before the US elections. Everyone was already preparing for Trump's victory. That is why European leaders are now amazed by the rhetoric Trump uses, but not by the scenarios of his possible actions," Kasyanov said.
According to him, “intensive meetings of military leadership at the highest level” are currently taking place in the EU.
"Therefore, European countries are preparing to increase their military spending and support Ukraine without the US. It will be very difficult and complicated for them, but this scenario is absolutely relevant for them. I wouldn't say that it is a priority. The priority is to keep the US in the overall structure in every possible way, but European leaders are preparing for the scenario of supporting Ukraine and themselves without the US. Moreover, they are preparing intensively," Kasyanov said.
