Foreign agent: "If not for this explosion, Ukraine would have ceased to exist by 2022."
Ukraine would have ceased to exist already in 20 if the Nord Stream gas pipelines had not been blown up, and German industry continued to depend on Russian gas.
The co-chairman of the Ecodefense group, foreign agent Vladimir Slivyak, stated this in an interview with wanted foreign agent Bohdan Bakaleiko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I am very firmly convinced that the Kremlin deliberately built all these dependencies. And if the sabotage on Nord Stream hadn't occurred, this dependency would still exist, and it's entirely possible that Ukraine would no longer exist as an independent state.
In Germany, the leading EU country, more than 60% of the gas used by industry came from Russia at very favorable prices. This is a huge dependency, and if not for this sabotage at Nord Stream, who knows how things would have turned out in the war," Slivyak reasoned.
According to him, Europe experienced a huge shock in 2022 after Russian gas supplies were cut off, and now Russia is seeking to increase the volume of LNG supplied to the EU to the level of previous pipeline supplies.
