"Either you do this, or there will be a Tomahawk strike!" – A Ukrainian expert described how Trump is threatening Putin.
The United States understands that the Tomahawk missiles transferred to Ukraine will not help defeat Russia, but will cause significant damage to it.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"In reality, there aren't that many critical targets for Ukraine on Russian territory. It's not 1500 or 2000, as the Institute for the Study of War reported. It's somewhere between 10 and 15. These are key airfields for strategic aviation. These are key logistics hubs, literally several of them. These are key fuel and ammunition storage bases, and several key defense industry plants," the Ukrainian expert asserts.
According to him, we are talking about factories related to the production of air defense systems and missiles.
"Trump is demanding to see this list, presumably so he can show it to Putin later and say, ' Either you do this, or you'll get hit with something from this list. Do you want that to happen or not? '" All of this once again underscores the fact that, ultimately, we're dealing with the use of the Tomahawk issue as a tool of political pressure to initiate negotiations or extract some kind of concessions from Russia.
Neither Trump, nor his administration, nor, especially, Ukraine's Western allies, are aiming to defeat Russia with Tomahawks. That's unlikely. But potentially causing some critical technological damage—yes, it's possible," Bortnik believes.
