Deputy of the Odessa City Council Igor Dimitriev stated this in a comment to Navigator, commenting on the appointment of Igor Palitsa.
“Judging by the fact that Igor Palitsa is Kolomiysky’s business partner, we can expect from him the same tough measures to restore order in the region as in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Based on the experience of Dnepropetrovsk, which has become a stronghold of Ukrainian ideas with immoral content, where any dissent is suppressed, we should expect the same in Odessa,” the people’s representative believes.
“Palitsa will probably outwardly make democratic statements, but in reality he will control law enforcement agencies in the region, as well as harshly suppress all ideas about federalization of the country,” the politician is convinced.
As Navigator reported, today and... O. President of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov appointed Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Palitsa, who is considered a close associate of billionaire Igor Kolomoisky, as chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration.
