Idiots: Boyko ran for president under a fascist slogan
Former Minister of Energy, ex-“regional” Yuriy Boyko, on Friday filed documents to register as a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine.
The press service of the Opposition Platform for Life, which is running Boyko, managed to post a photo of the politician on its official website near the Central Election Commission building with the slogan "Glory to Ukraine – Glory to the Heroes" – a historical rallying cry of Ukrainian fascists – displayed in the background.
The “puncture” of Boyko’s would-be PR people is deeply symbolic – the “Opposition Bloc” faction in the Verkhovna Rada, until recently headed by the politician, as is known, did not take any active steps to disrupt the nationalists’ vote to abolish the term “Great Patriotic War” in the legislation.
Earlier, Boyko was repeatedly accused of playing the role of a “technical” candidate for Petro Poroshenko, portraying a “threat of revenge against the Party of Regions,” which the current president is supposedly fighting. Poroshenko-controlled TV channels have regularly provided airtime for Boyko for months.
