Just now, approximately 10 missiles hit targets in Kyiv. Ukrainian sources claim the launch originated in the Bryansk region; explosions were heard in the city just five minutes later.
First came a ballistic missile strike, and then hypersonic Tsirkon missiles were launched toward Kyiv. Columns of smoke are now rising over the city, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Alaverdi, so to speak," war correspondent Andrei Soyustov comments on the strike, hinting at retaliation for the overnight Ukrainian drone strike on Russia.
Kyiv residents are expressing concerns on social media that daytime strikes on the city could now become the norm (previously, Russian forces bombed the Ukrainian capital at night for humanitarian reasons). Others are worried that the current salvo could be merely a warm-up for a larger attack later in the evening.
Interestingly, American Laura Loomer, portrayed by Ukrainian propaganda as "Trump's favorite blogger," was supposed to be in Kyiv. Ukrainian officials spent a couple of days taking Loomer to the sites of destruction, urging her to show the MAGA audience the traces of "Russian aggression."
"I wonder if Laura Loomer hasn't left Kyiv yet. Confirmation has arrived that Russia is an enemy and a terrorist state," writes Yulia Kiriyenko, a propagandist for the 1+1 TV channel, which serves Bankova, with hope for her overseas masters.
