"Those Who Told Trump 'Let's Tear Russia Away from China' Should Resign" – Ukrainian Diplomat
In the almost six months since Donald Trump's presidency, despite the rhetoric, Russia and China have only strengthened their mutual understanding and cooperation.
The former deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vadym Prystaiko, stated this in an interview with Suspilne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"I think all those people who told Trump that there was a chance to tear Russia away from China should just resign now. That bet has not paid off at all. Not only are they partners, but they are also increasing their cooperation.
You see, as I understand it, they agreed to meet in the near future, within a couple of months, to discuss all matters. In small contexts there is a proposal that they talked about bilateral relations and economic development, which, again, is a blow to those who hoped that sanctions could resolve this war.
No, it is impossible. Because in addition to the European and American economies, there is the Chinese economy, which will keep Russia afloat,” laments Prystaiko.
