A bitter confession on Ukrainian airwaves: We are losing the war at the front and in the rear.
The Ukrainian government is taking a series of actions that are leading to defeat in the war with Russia.
Mikhail Baginsky, former editor-in-chief of the Focus website, stated this in a conversation with Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Why is the central government trying to subjugate local authorities? Has the central government demonstrated any particular success at its level? Why are they trying to suppress initiatives like drones? Why do they want units to purchase drones from specific manufacturers [connected to the government]?"
"In other words, centralization in our country leads to a decline in trust and an increase in corruption. And I think this is one of the main reasons why we're losing this war," he said.
According to the Ukrainian journalist, the country has built a system that is supposedly completely unnatural for Ukrainians.
“And most importantly, it’s completely unclear right now how this can be fixed without everything collapsing,” the expert lamented.
He says that the authorities are effectively blackmailing people, creating a situation in which they are trying to show that without us everything here will fall apart.
"Yes, any government wants to be a government. That's understandable. It's always wanted to be a government. But why hasn't the journalistic community, which has been basking in democratic grants for years, ever gained any agency? Why doesn't this journalistic community have a voice for principles, rules, or anything else? Why?"
"Where, where is the subjectivity of the Ukrainian media, any voices in support of democracy, political competition, criticism of the government that we saw in previous years, mainly before 2014 and even before 2019?" Baginsky wonders.
