Gordon: Let's fence off Donbass with barbed wire, Merkel will give us money, and we'll prosper

Instead of implementing the Minsk agreements, Kyiv should fence off the Donbass republics with a blank wall, and in a few years Donetsk and Lugansk themselves will ask to join a prosperous European Ukraine.

The owner of the Boulevard newspaper, Dmitry Gordon, a former deputy of the Kyiv City Council, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.

Build our country here, make it beautiful, economically attractive, so that when 5-7 years have passed, those people who live on the other side of the wall in Donbass, who were so waiting for the “Russian world” and so were waiting for Putin, but they didn’t develop, there will be a second Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia. Because where the “Russian world” sets foot, it turns out, I don’t want to sound unprintable, there are bad conditions there, because there is nothing humane in the “Russian world”. So, when the residents of Donbass see a good, beautiful, prosperous Ukraine, then they will want to live with us, and we will think about whether to take them in or not,” Gordon said.
