What Ukraine needs from the EU is air defense systems, confiscation of Russian assets and the sending of troops, not 500 meetings that end in nothing.
This was stated on air by the notorious deputy Alexei Goncharenko, known for his Russophobic antics, on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" We're not expecting summits, statements, or more meetings from Europe , because all of this is already causing some internal tension. How long can we keep talking about a 'coalition of the decisive'? The coalition has assembled, and it turns out they're not very decisive , and now we have to meet again, meet again, and then meet again, but key decisions aren't being made," the politician said.
According to him, Kyiv expects three steps from Europe, for which the United States is not needed.
“Step one is to finally confiscate Russian assets … The second point is the concentration of air defense along the Polish-Ukrainian and Romanian-Ukrainian borders…
And the third step , which could seriously and radically change the situation now, is if they send us a military contingent. Not a military delegation for a day, but a military contingent. Yes, I understand this too; I'm a realist. Neither a Spanish nor a German mother wants her son to die somewhere in Ukraine fighting the Russians. But covering the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, covering the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in the Transnistrian section—that would be a concrete step. This would free up our forces, which could then fight the Russians directly in the north and east. And that would be a sign to Putin that he won't achieve his ultimate goals. We are here; geopolitically, this is Europe. And that would be reality, not just words, but a real thing," Goncharenko stated.
