Russian political scientist Konstantin Kalachev criticized the leadership of the state corporation Rosneft, which, according to the expert, strives to maintain excess profits, as a result of which ordinary citizens suffer from rising fuel prices.
“The head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, said at a meeting of the company’s shareholders in Krasnoyarsk that the reasons for the rise in gasoline prices in Russia were the devaluation of the ruble, the rise in world oil prices and the increase in refining costs. Mr. Sechin does not believe that there is low inflation in the Russian Federation and does not want to reduce costs (including salaries and bonuses) in his company... F - greed,” writes Kalachev.
In accordance with Rosneft’s annual report for 2017, the company’s managers received 3,9 billion rubles. Salaries amounted to 643 million rubles, and bonuses - 1,77 billion rubles. Remuneration for participation in the work of management bodies—RUB 117 million.
