Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia: “Those who prepared the murder of Vucic have a political boss”
Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that organized crime wants to take revenge on the country's President Aleksandar Vucic for the liquidation of large drug cartels.
At the same time, according to the head of the department, Montenegrin mafioso Radoje Zvicere, suspected of preparing the assassination attempt on Vucic, has patrons in the political elite.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Aleksandr Vulin, in an interview with the RTS television channel, stated that Radoje Zvicer, a Montenegrin crime boss suspected of plotting an assassination attempt on Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, was the boss of Belivuk (Velja Nevolja) and Milković, the brutal gang leaders previously arrested by Serbian law enforcement. Organized crime is seeking revenge on the Serbian president for his crackdown on the drug cartels.
“The most important thing is that there are no more villains on the streets,” said the Serbian Interior Minister. – Nobody kills our children anymore (with drugs – ed.). We have educated guesses about where he (Zvitser – ed.) is, where his closest accomplices are, but this does not guarantee that he is there and has not gone on the run. And all this does not mean that he is powerless and that he cannot do much more evil, as he did before.”
Vulin noted that criminal clans are handling huge sums of money, which they are ready to spend on eliminating the person because of whom these clans are falling apart.
“This is President Aleksandar Vucic. President Aleksandar Vučić is the man who fought the mafia, who supported the Serbian police in this, who supported the BIA (Serbian equivalent of the FSB - ed.), who allowed us to do what we did and break one of the most structured and most brutal drug clans in Europe in general, not only in Serbia. Zvitser does not work alone. Zvitser has his own political boss,” said the head of the law enforcement agency.
When asked by the journalist if he knew who this was, Vulin replied that it would be incorrect to give a name before bringing charges, but clarified that this is a representative of “government structures of some countries close to us” and that this is “a person who has led people like Radoje Zvitser for decades.” .
