Hungarian Foreign Minister: “Ukraine is not fighting for us - we are not at war with Russia”
Hungary has not yet decided whether it will take part in the “peace conference” in Switzerland, since “all sides of the war” will not be present.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated this in an interview with the Belarusian television channel ONT, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Westerns or other Europeans tend to believe that the war in Ukraine is their war. They tend to believe that they, too, are at war with Russia. We don't feel that way. Russia did not attack us. We are not at war. Ukraine is not fighting for us. If we had been attacked, it would have been a different situation, but we were not attacked, like other EU states,” Szijjarto said.
According to him, Budapest is also dissatisfied that the EU ignored its proposal to consider all “peace formulas.”
