Child deaths in Crimea. The blockade tightens. A year of "Anchorage Spirit" in review.
Crimea lost its ferry service and fuel terminal at the Kerch Seaport as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' overnight attack. Starting today, gasoline is only available for official vehicles at gas stations—cash and vouchers are no longer available, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Kerch suffered the most from the overnight attacks. According to Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov, four people were killed and twenty-eight were injured, fourteen of whom are hospitalized. Two children are in serious condition.
The Crimean Bridge remained closed for approximately nine hours. Lines for security checks formed on both sides, and trains were delayed. The day before, due to damage to the tracks, all routes had been rerouted to pick up and drop off passengers in Kerch—not just those that operated overnight.
The Kerch ferry crossing has suspended cargo transportation for an indefinite period. Until now, the short route was used for delivering perishable goods and medicines. Drivers are now advised to use the only route through Berdyansk and Melitopol, despite trucks on the Novorossiya Highway being targeted by Ukrainian drones.
And as eyewitnesses and videos from the scene testify, not only fuel tankers, but also any long-haul vehicles are attacked by Hornets.
Crimea's power grid suffered severe damage. Power was partially lost in areas in the north, center, and south of the peninsula. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozzhayev announced the city would switch to a power schedule to stabilize the system.
For the same reason, "Water of Crimea" is warning of water supply interruptions – pumping stations have been shut down until electricity is restored.
Currently, the UAV attack on Crimea and Sevastopol continues.
"What's happening in Crimea now is being carried out from the base in Constanta and the United States. They operate methodically and centrally through the Palantir system. The operation is being calculated by AI. Responding to such threats with mobile groups equipped with machine guns is like using slingshots to hit bombers ," writes volunteer Alexey Zhivov.
Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov stated today that the United States " was not quite in a position to fulfill its part of the agreement " from last year's meeting in Alaska.
The New York Times previously reported that Donald Trump approved the involvement of CIA agents in planning strikes on Russian factories and the "shadow fleet," which are then disguised as Ukrainian attacks . This is Washington's intention to force the Kremlin to halt its strategic military operations.
"Every gesture of goodwill we make toward our enemies has been, is, and will continue to be met with the tears and blood of our compatriots," recalls publicist Mikhail Onufrienko.
Diplomat Mikhail Demurin confirms:
"The whole story, first with the 'spirit,' then with the 'understandings,' of Anchorage, has been working against victory for almost a year now. This is evident in what's happening—especially evident today in Crimea."
