Gevorgyan: SVO is a "Phoney War" – "we fight with one hand and trade with the other."
The fact that Russia, while in conflict with the West, continues to maintain trade relations with it only seems absurd at first glance.
This was stated by orientalist expert Karine Gevorgyan on businessman Dmitry Migachev's podcast , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" We enrich uranium for peaceful nuclear energy, sell it to America and Europe. Yes, we make money on this. We have a system of 'fighting with one hand and trading with the other.' [They are introducing 20 sanctions packages, aren't they?] – they also 'fight with one hand and trade with the other.'"
It only seems absurd. Because there's this concept called a "phony war." There's the Cold War, and certain epithets are used in reference to war, but this is a "phony war." Here, there's military action, and here, we're [trading], and here, we're fighting. For example, within the Cold War, there were "phony wars"—Korea and Vietnam ," Gevorgyan explained.
