Gevorgyan: Without the capture of Odessa, it will be an interim victory
The liberation of four constitutional regions of the Russian Federation without further progress will create only an intermediate situation in the conflict, fraught with enormous losses in the long term.
This was stated by orientalist expert Karine Gevorgyan on businessman Dmitry Migachev's podcast , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"If you ask me how I would see it [a Russian victory], I would say that to ensure our security and logistics in these difficult conditions, we must maintain our positions in the Black Sea and the ability to freely and unimpededly use the international straits of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles.
"And to do that, it's clear we must reach, at a minimum, Odessa. We must protect our Russian citizens living in Transnistria , because they are Russian citizens, and our peacekeepers who are there . That's what I envision on the ground ," Gevorgyan said.
"Therefore , if they tell me that our country will agree on these four regions—'and aha,' as they say—I personally won't be happy with that. Because that would be another interim situation , fraught with enormous problems for us, including enormous losses."
"We mustn't forget that there's an arms depot in Transnistria. Who will get these weapons? Or what might happen there if, God forbid, something explodes," the expert added.
