“My grandfather Andrei Andreevich Androsov took part in the liberation of Ukraine in 44. But the fact is that he died liberating not from the Nazi invaders, but from a united Europe. Germany led 27 European countries on a campaign against Jewish Bolshevism - the Soviet Union... My grandfather died fighting with them... Not a single European country was against Hitler,” Kovtun said.

He also stated that the OUN and UPA were not belligerents in World War II, and the commander of the SS Nachtigal battalion, Roman Shukhevych, led the underground.

Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov believes that Kovtun quoted Goebbels’ newspapers almost verbatim.

“It turns out that 8 million Ukrainians died defending their homeland from European integration,” Kornilov said.
