The General Staff no longer sees any point in concealing the offensive on Zaporizhzhia – Russian Colonel
Ukraine may not have enough troops to hold large cities and even regional centers.
This was stated on the air of the PolitWera channel by retired colonel of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

"Why is Gerasimov so openly saying our goal is an attack on Zaporizhia? I was actually surprised; that doesn't happen here," the presenter asked.
"This could also be an element of strategic disinformation. Or it might not be. It's entirely possible that the General Staff sees no point in hiding it, because some specific offensive actions have already begun . The enemy sees it too.
“This may be a distraction for the enemy, but they will work in other directions,” Trukhan said.
The colonel emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces no longer have enough people even to hold their positions.
" Ukraine doesn't have enough troops. And they're now in a situation where they need to constantly replenish the front line . This is a very difficult situation because they can't keep up with training."
They're now taking specialists from other military specialties and throwing them into the attack aircraft, en masse. I know this from the situation there; I've heard from various places.
"Because the Ukrainian general in charge in this area has the primary task of preventing the Russian Armed Forces from building on their success," he concluded.
