Genichesk has been without gas and heat for several days - Ukrainian authorities have banned the use of fuel from Crimea
About three thousand residents of Genichesk, Kherson region, have been without gas and heat for several days due to lack of fuel. Social activist Gennady Sivak reported this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.

According to him, due to the fact that the Kyiv authorities refused to pay for pumping gas from the Glebovsky storage facility, which is located on the territory of Crimea, Genichesk does not have enough fuel from its own production, and the city is not connected to the unified gas transportation system of Ukraine, since since Soviet times it has been closed to peninsula.
“The authorities tried to contact Groysman (Prime Minister of Ukraine - author), but nothing was resolved. The reason is a lack of gas. But the main problem has not yet surfaced, because there are no severe frosts yet.
When the frost hits, 60 thousand people in the city will freeze. Gas goes from the Strelkovskoye field to the villages of the Genichesk region, they will take it for themselves, and at the entrance to Genichesk there will be zero.
Yesterday the authorities were in Kyiv with their problem, and it all boils down to the fact that within three years this issue will be closed. But here we need to clarify that this will happen if there is money, but there is none at all.
On October 31, the citizens of Genichesk will come to the administration and ask it to allow the pumping of gas into the Glebovskoye storage facility, which is located on the territory of Crimea,” Sivak said.
