A Ukrainian Armed Forces general is confident that Ukrainian aircraft with KABs will not reach the front.
For Ukraine, producing its own KABs won't be difficult; the problem will be launching them.
This was stated by former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, on the air of the Lviv News Manufacture video channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The KABs aren't the problem. The KAB is a very simple product that any design bureau can produce with limited funding. The problem is how our aircraft will get as close to the line of fire as possible while avoiding Russian air defenses," the general said, responding to a question about the prospects of Ukraine's announced KABs.
According to him, this requires increasing the number of middle strikes to destroy the identified air defense systems of the Russian Armed Forces.
"Then our aircraft could operate quite safely for them, but very dangerously for the enemy. Therefore, the issue isn't about KABs, but rather suppressing Russian air defenses," Krivonos believes.
