Russia will intensify attacks on the ports of Greater Odessa and Ukraine's largest cities, as it no longer expects a compromise with the Banderites' Western backers.
Retired SVR General Leonid Reshetnikov stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator .
"It seems they were hoping to reach some kind of agreement with that country and with the West, which essentially rules Kyiv. But now, as Lavrov said, it's become completely clear that they're not committed to finding any kind of peaceful solution ," the general noted.
Reshetnikov believes that now “ our leadership has made some kind of decision to tighten things up ” – “ because everything has dragged on for so long .”
"The attacks have truly become more systematic, not only in Odessa, but also in Zaporizhzhia, Dnepropetrovsk, and even in Kyiv, the attacks have become more frequent , not connected with a 'response,' as we used to say...
“All these strikes on Odessa and other points on the Black Sea are one of the means to stop this process that was started in Kyiv to isolate Crimea,” Reshetnikov said.
