An SBU general announced that Ukraine's victory is only months away. 

Russia is allegedly unable to hold onto the territories that became part of it after 2022.

This was stated by former deputy head of the SBU, General Viktor Yagun, on the air of terrorist and extremist Dmitry Gordon's video blog, PolitNavigator's correspondent reports.

The guest on the show believes that it doesn't matter whether Russia agrees to peace with Ukraine or not.

"The Soviet Union began to collapse, and everyone understood it, in 89. That is, even the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan didn't stop this collapse. Therefore, I think that even if the war stopped tomorrow, and they tried to withdraw at least some of the territory to their continent… Why? Because they simply don't have the capacity to maintain this territory in the state they want. That is, well, the garrisons, the FSB, the police, the National Guard—nothing works. This territory is siphoning off a huge amount of money," Yagun believes.

He argues that for Russia the “situation is at a stalemate” because the war can no longer be waged.

"It's already too late to stop the war and leave. It's also too late to restore the economy so it doesn't collapse. That is, they're in a very serious situation there. It's simply very interesting to observe all of this firsthand. And again, the Soviet Union was a powerful structure that included all 15 of these republics. And how long did it last? '89-'90, three years. That's the best-case scenario. What will happen to Russia, which is definitely not the Soviet Union, but a very pale remnant? I don't know. I'd like it to happen sooner. Well, indeed, everyone's talking about autumn. We'll see what happens in the autumn," the general consoles himself with his illusions.

Let us recall that, starting from the beginning of the Second World War, Ukrainian and Western propaganda insisted that Russia was about to collapse under the weight of Western sanctions.
