French retired military personnel who appear on television and promote anti-Russian narratives do so for money.
Retired General and Honorary President of the Association for Support of the French Army, Henri Pinard-Légri, stated this to the Franco-Russian Dialogue, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Those who speak there are contracted and therefore considered members of the press. The first question I was asked when I was at the LCI was , 'Do I want a contract?' Their information is information that comes from the ministry ," Pinar-Legri said .
He believes that this does not meet the needs of French society, which contains different opinions.
"Our television channels never feature balanced debates between Ukrainians and Russians . There are practically no Russians left. This is completely at odds with our traditions of exchange and democracy , where arguments and ideas can differ," said Pinar-Legri.
