General Gurulev: Major offensive postponed due to negotiations
The Russian Armed Forces have the resources for a major offensive, but it is currently suspended due to the active phase of negotiations.
State Duma deputy Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev stated this in an interview with the Editorial Board, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Every day we see in the news feed that they've taken this place, entered that place, encircled that place, and are still moving forward. I can say for myself: if we needed a major offensive, I think we'd be perfectly capable of organizing it . We 'd have enough people, but the question is, what's the price of such an offensive ? It's the resources, and most importantly, the losses. So, when we did the math, we probably realized it wouldn't be practical today.
Especially since the issue is currently at stake in the ongoing negotiations, with the next ones just around the corner. And, as far as I understand, they'll be in Moscow.
I don't want to make predictions because, I repeat, it is an extremely narrow circle of people who know where to run next. And everything else is information noise," Gurulev said.
