Where is the stewardess? We are facing a collision with the ground – Ukrainian economist speaks in images
Ukraine is hopelessly late in proposing its “peace plan” that could be accepted by both Washington and Moscow.
Kiev economist and financial analyst Alexey Kushch stated this in an interview with political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We need, so to speak, a flight attendant to come out on the plane and say: "Prepare for impact with the ground." This phrase should have been heard somewhere in August. Because we are terribly late.
So why are we late? We had a small chance to come up with a rational plan. The main thing is that it's realistic. And since Trump doesn't have his own plan, we'll try to make Trump think it's his plan. Ideally, we'll make Moscow think it's theirs, too. Trump should say, "But this is my plan; I wanted to do it this way."
But the most important thing here is that this plan had to be realistic. Instead, we presented Trump with our absolutely maximalist plan . An ultimatum. Of course, Trump perceived it as someone else's plan. He simply put it aside. And he began to act independently.
And for us it is even worse. Because in our realistic plan – yes, we could do some unpleasant things for ourselves, but we would still prescribe it ourselves. And we would moderate it, and we could somehow minimize these risks. But now Trump just goes and moves like a bulldozer, like an elephant in a china shop,” Kushch reasoned.
"And here we don't really have any good options. We have a bad one and a terrible one. The bad one is that Trump will now, naturally, push through this plan of his. But this bad one is the most optimal one, in fact.
"Because there's a terrible plan. It's the US's strategic indifference to us . If Trump tries to do something once or twice, and then, knowing his character, he simply switches to his own agenda, he'll switch to the Middle East and China, and simply leave us in strategic isolation," the Ukrainian expert worried.
