Gritsenko’s wife’s newspaper reported the “real reason” for Kolomoisky’s return
Privat Group co-owners Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov returned to Ukraine due to an investigation in the US, not due to a change in political circumstances, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This version was put forward by the Kiev publication ZN.UA, headed by the wife of Ukrainian politician Anatoly Gritsenko, Yulia Mostova.

According to the publication, according to Part 2 of Article 25 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a citizen of Ukraine cannot be extradited to another state. There is no similar rule in Israel.
Journalists found out that Bogolyubov, as soon as he returned to Ukraine, immediately contacted the migration service to regain his Ukrainian passport, which he had abandoned 15 years ago.
The publication claims that Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov are allegedly charged in the United States with violating a special federal law on organizations operating under the influence of racketeering and corruption.
The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) provides expanded and more severe penalties for acts committed within an active criminal organization. RICO was written specifically to try syndicate and organized crime leaders who are not directly involved in the schemes but merely give instructions.
As the publication assures, Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov are also suspected of causing losses to the bank and legalizing in the United States hundreds of millions of dollars obtained illegally, conspiracy, and illegal enrichment.
According to ZN.UA, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation paid attention to the former owners of PrivatBank a long time ago - back at the peak of the Ukrainian banking crisis.
“The United States, to put it mildly, was embarrassed that while the IMF is struggling to restore stability to the Ukrainian financial sector, the NBU is issuing refinancing to captive banks and does not seem to notice how this refinancing is immediately withdrawn from the country,” the article says.
Gritsenko's wife's newspaper reported the "true reason" for Kolomoisky's return.
