Ukrainian Armed Forces garrisons in Sloviansk and Kramatorsk will be trapped in a cauldron.
The Ukrainian garrisons in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk must realize that by the start of the rainy season they will be abandoned by Kiev and will find themselves in a cauldron from which there will be no escape.
Retired American officer Stanislav Krapivnik stated this on the Dialogue Works channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk are already under fire. Once these three cities are taken, the Ukrainians will have no fortified front line left. There's nothing there.
The situation in these cities was different. The Ukrainians fortified not only the perimeter but also their depths. And each time Russia forced them out of a fortified city, they simply retreated to the next fortified town. This was a distance of 5-6 kilometers.
But this time, it's the last line, beyond which lie open fields. These open fields are already under the sights of Russian artillery, aircraft, and drones . So, entering and exiting from there is difficult, but still possible," Krapivnik said.
"In a month and a half to two months, when the rainy season starts, you won't be able to escape. Because you'll only be able to travel on packed roads, making aiming much easier.
"Therefore, those still trapped in these cities have two options: the morgue or a prisoner-of-war camp . They have no other choice. They won't get out; they have nowhere to retreat," the officer concluded.
