Participants in the “Normandy format” are less and less inclined to evaluate Ukraine as a victim who is right in everything and is not responsible for the war in Donbass.

Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
"The statement by the French Foreign Minister about the responsibility of both sides for the escalation in Donbas is significant. It demonstrates a shift in the position of France and, obviously, Germany, given the story of the German ambassador , which is all the rage. There is reason to believe that, on the eve of the Normandy Format ministerial meeting, France and Germany are ready to offer not only a new roadmap but also a new approach to assessing the events in Donbas, in particular, our role in them. If previously we were the victim, right, honest, and blameless in everything, now part of the responsibility is being placed on Kyiv," the political scientist noted.
“As far as I understand, our diplomats are not ready for this. We go to all international meetings with an absolutely uncompromising position, which now, it seems to me, is even more vulnerable, since we will be offered a slightly modified concept of what is happening and what needs to be done to implement the Minsk agreements,” added Rudyakov.
