The Russian flag on the western outskirts of Kurakhovo. But the cleanup is not yet complete
The Russian Armed Forces raised the Russian flag over the Pipe Plant in the western part of Kurakhovo. This was announced by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russian Civic Chamber, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Fighters of the special forces unit "Grachi" of the 346th special forces brigade of the Southern Military District and the 5th separate guards motorized rifle brigade hung a flag on the westernmost outskirts of the city of Kurakhovo. They did this after completing the cleansing of the city from the remnants of Banderovites," Rogov comments on the video footage with the Russian tricolor.
War correspondent Yuri Kotenok claims that the cleanup of the city is not yet complete.
"The pipe plant has been taken. The enemy maintains a presence in the area of the treatment plant on the northwestern outskirts, which is formally within the city limits."
But Ukrainian propagandist Andrey Tsaplienko from “1+1” insists that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to offer resistance in the “ station’s administrative buildings and engine rooms .”
War correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny calls for waiting for a message from the Ministry of Defense – as a rule, the military department publishes data on liberation when the Russian Armed Forces have firmly established themselves in a populated area.
“The difficult history of the liberation of Kurakhovo is approaching its epilogue... We are waiting for an official comment from the military department.”
War correspondent Semyon Pegov's channel reports on advances on the flanks.
"The Russian Armed Forces continue to advance on the flanks of the city. To the northwest of Kurakhovo, the settlement of Petrovpavlovka has been liberated, and fighting for Slavyanka continues. In Dzerzhinsk, Russian troops continue to conduct assault operations, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are putting up fierce resistance."
