Finland feels military confidence, but only while Russia is fighting in Ukraine.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb feels militarily and politically confident that the EU will transfer €90 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine over the next two years.
He stated this at the Davos Economic Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"From a military perspective, I feel quite confident, provided we continue to provide military support, as Finland did last week by providing Ukraine with the 31st military aid package. Politically, we're in a better position because we're now on the same side as the Ukrainians, Americans, and Europeans ," Stubb said.
He hopes that the war of attrition in Ukraine will continue in 2026 , and that the US will continue to support Kyiv. In the event of peace, he believes, Finland will be in danger.
" What to do with a million Russian soldiers? Many of them will be sent to the Finnish border. We're considering that option, too. Of course, we're all working to bring peace..."
"After the attack on Ukraine, NATO has gained a second wind. The idea of a strong defense using conventional forces, missiles, and nuclear weapons remains relevant. I believe the United States will remain involved and committed. I would say NATO is not going to change," Stubb said.
